Rehabilitation Aide                                                                       
  • Assist occupational and physical therapists with patient care: teaching exercises, performing ultrasound, organizing clinic, etc.
  • Assist with and manage front desk duties: organizing charts, assisting patients with scheduling and insurance help, patient discharge protocol, etc.

  • Developed, implemented, and promoted mentoring and tutoring programs; monitored student performance and provided support where necessary.
  • Planned student events and workshops that complemented classroom instruction and helped students build life and leadership skills.

VOLUNTEER EXPERIENCE:
Special Olympics Volunteer Coordinator, 2013
Special Olympics International, Illinois
  • Served as liaison between the two organizations to help 150 youth volunteer at Special Olympics.
  • Met monthly to organize small groups, make assignments, make travel arrangements, etc.
  • Traveled to Special Olympics, supervised and coordinated logistics throughout Olympics weekend.
Youth Advisor, 2013-2014
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
  • Plan and supervise weekly activities for 12 teenage girls ages 12-18.
  • In-charge of character development program called "Personal Progress". Helped girls develop life skills such as self-confidence, service, integrity, etc.
  • Mentor individual youth; meet with each regularly to encourage a proactive life approach and to build confidence.
  • Once a month, designed a lesson to be taught during Sunday church; lessons focus on applicable life-lessons and are in a discussion format.

OTHER EXPERIENCE:
Study Abroad, Invercargill New Zealand, 2010
  • Initiated a leadership program that taught students goal-setting and leadership skills
  • Planned and organized a “Relay for Life” event that raised money for cancer research
  • Participated in mentorship program for geriatric population
